Search inside of you...

I used to say: " If I can get a job that makes lots of money, then I will be happpier." " I will be happier if my mother doesn't try to control my life so much." "After I master another language, I will be happier."

Someday, I realised by saying what I was saying, I was actually searching outside for the happiness and waiting for the happiness to come to me.

I stopped waiting for that job to be found to be happier. I stopped waiting for my mother to be less conroling of my life to be happier. I stopped waiting for mastering another language to be happier.

Instead, I started to search inside of me. Surprisedly, I heard lots of sounds coming from inside of me talking to me, leading me to see some beauty that is surrounding me, that I missed seeing before.

Searching from OUTSIDE for happiness, most of the time, we would feel frustrated, hurt, discouraged, and lost. Because we can't control what's going on from the outside. But, we can always adjust our thoughts, to think more positive, or to choose to be happy even if the things are not happening in the way we want them to happen.

When we wait for something to happen to be happy or wait for someone to change to be happy, the most possible result could be: that something could never happen in the way we want or wish, or that someone would never change.

First day here...

Today is 14th, August, 2010, Saturday. Now is Madrid time 23:17.

This is my first day creating this BLOG.

Hope I will be able to find some time every day to get here, to record the simple but significant happy moments in my life. I also this sort of recording will lead me and you---who is reading this blog to be able to get closer to the HAPPINESS, that something we might have not been feeling for a long time from the bottom of our heart, that something we might have forgotten on the way to "grown-ups", that something we might have thought we found but actually we haven't, that something that is truly mean something to us and our lives.
